Which accounting software do you use with clients?
We work in three cloud accounting packages: QuickBooks, Xero and FreeAgent. QuickBooks is our preferred choice, and we're a QuickBooks Elite ProAdvisor firm.
If you already use one of the three, you can keep it when you move to us.

We start with how your business runs today: how invoices, bills, receipts and reports move through it. Then we recommend the smallest set of tools that does the job, connect them and check what is saving you time.
Set-up and support are services we provide; ask us to add them to your quote.

Our packages
Is software included in your monthly packages?
Yes, in four of them. Our limited company, sole trader, partnership and LLP packages include cloud bookkeeping software and AI receipt capture software (Apron).
Our landlord and personal tax return packages don't include them. We can provide your accounting software subscription and get any discounts available, or you can pay for it yourself.

Do I have to use all eight tools?
No. We look at how your business runs and recommend the smallest set of tools that does the job.
Do I have to change the software I use now?
No, not if you already use QuickBooks, Xero or FreeAgent. If you use something else, tell us what it is when you ask for a quote and we'll talk through your options.
How do I send you my receipts?
With Apron. You photograph the receipt with the Apron app, upload it from your computer, or send it by WhatsApp.
How do I log in to the client portal?
Go to wainwrights.portal.engager.app and sign in with the login details we gave you. You can also use the Engager.app mobile app on iPhone or Android.
Does Xenon Connect work with my accounting software?
Yes, if you use QuickBooks, Xero or FreeAgent. Xenon Connect checks the bookkeeping data in your accounting software for errors.
Is Hammock only for landlords?
Yes. Hammock is designed specifically for landlords, whether you let one property or several. It's the landlord software we recommend.
Do I need to be on the Wirral?
No. We're based in Bromborough and work with clients across the UK by phone, Zoom, WhatsApp and our client app. Our office is open 9am to 5:30pm, Monday to Friday.
