How do you work with an online accountant?
You talk to your accountant by phone, Zoom or WhatsApp, and send, review and sign documents through our client app. When you sign online, there's nothing to print, scan or post.
You deal with the same person each time: every client has their own dedicated accountant, backed by the rest of the team.

Message us on WhatsApp when that's easier than a call.
Client portal and app
View and download your documents, fill in the forms we send you and upload files to us, in your browser or in the Engager.app mobile app.
Signing online
Open a document that's waiting for you, review it and sign it online.
Receipts
We use Apron for receipt capture. Photograph the receipt with the Apron app, upload it from your computer or send it by WhatsApp.

Who are our online accounting services for?
Limited companies, sole traders, partnerships, landlords and construction businesses anywhere in the UK. You don't need to be on the Wirral, and you never have to visit our office if you don't want to.
Every client has their own dedicated accountant and gets reminders before each deadline.
If you are local, you're welcome to visit us at Faversham House in Bromborough. Walk-ins are welcome, and we're closed on bank holidays.

Which software do online clients use?
QuickBooks, Xero or FreeAgent for your books, Apron for receipts and our client app for documents and signatures.
QuickBooks is our preferred choice, and we're a QuickBooks Elite ProAdvisor firm. If you already use one of the three, you can keep it.
Cloud bookkeeping software and AI receipt capture are listed in our limited company, sole trader, partnership and LLP packages.

How much does an online accountant cost?
Our prices start from £20 a month + VAT (£24 including VAT) for a landlord or a personal tax return, £60 a month + VAT for a sole trader and £80 for a limited company.
Each price is per month, indicative and subject to turnover not exceeding £150,000. Our team confirms the scope of the work and your final price before you start.
There is no minimum term, and you pay monthly by Direct Debit or by card.

What do people ask about working with an accountant online?
Do I need to live near your office?
No. We're based in Bromborough, Wirral, and work with clients across the UK by phone, Zoom, WhatsApp and our client app. You never have to visit the office if you don't want to: our tools are cloud-based, so the whole working relationship can be remote.
Will I deal with the same person each time?
Yes. Every client has their own dedicated accountant, backed by the rest of the team.
How do I sign documents?
Log in to the client portal and open the document that's waiting for your signature. Review it, then sign it online. There's nothing to print, scan or post.
How do I send you receipts and documents?
Receipts go through Apron: photograph them with the app, upload them from your computer or send them by WhatsApp. Other files can be uploaded through the client portal.

Can I still meet you in person?
Yes. You can book a face-to-face meeting at our Bromborough office, and walk-ins are welcome. The office is open 9am to 5:30pm, Monday to Friday, and closed on bank holidays.
Is my data secure in the client app?
Engager.app says data shared through the portal is encrypted, and that it is UK-hosted, with ongoing backups, and Cyber Essentials certified.
