Hammock brings your property bank transactions into one place, reconciles them automatically and sorts them into categories in line with HMRC requirements. It keeps a rolling tax forecast and shows figures such as rental yields, loan-to-value ratios and arrears.
The Hammock app is available for mobile, tablet and desktop.

Real-time updates, with all your property transactions in one place. Hammock says it connects to more than 50 UK bank and credit card feeds.
Bookkeeping
Automated reconciliation, and categorisation in line with HMRC requirements. Hammock says you can attach receipts to transactions.

Making Tax Digital
Hammock describes itself as Making Tax Digital compatible software, and says you can send your quarterly updates to HMRC from it. For 2026/27, quarterly updates are due by 7 August 2026, 7 November 2026, 7 February 2027 and 7 May 2027.

What do landlords ask us about Hammock?
Is Hammock part of your landlord price?
No, it isn't listed in what our landlord price covers. That price covers your UK property tax return, your Self Assessment tax return (two for joint owners) and tax efficiency planning, from £20 a month + VAT (£24 including VAT). Hammock publishes its own plans on its website.
Who is Hammock for?
Landlords. Hammock is designed specifically for landlords, whether you let one property or several. Hammock says it also handles joint ownership and property held through a partnership or a limited company.
Can I use Hammock on my phone?
Yes. The Hammock app is available for mobile, tablet and desktop, and you can download it from the App Store or Google Play.
Does Hammock work with Making Tax Digital?
Hammock says it does: it describes itself as Making Tax Digital compatible and lists quarterly update filing among its features. Landlords and sole traders whose qualifying income was over £50,000 in 2024/25 have had to use Making Tax Digital for Income Tax since 6 April 2026. Qualifying income is your rent plus any self-employment income, before expenses. The threshold drops to £30,000 (2025/26 income) from 6 April 2027 and £20,000 (2026/27 income) from 6 April 2028.
Is my bank data safe in Hammock?
Hammock says it is registered with the Financial Conduct Authority (register number 911254) for account information services, has read-only access to your bank data, and encrypts your log-in details. It also says no payments can be made from your Hammock account.
Can you help with Making Tax Digital as well?
Yes. If Making Tax Digital applies to you, we add compliance support to your landlord service for £35 a month + VAT (£42 including VAT). We'll confirm what it covers when we quote.
Can I switch to you part-way through the year?
Yes. We accept clients who switch to us part-way through the year. We contact your previous accountant and handle the handover for you.
Do I need to be on the Wirral?
No. We're based in Bromborough and work with landlords across the UK by phone, Zoom, WhatsApp and our client app.
